Driving Performance
Wheel Loaders: The contact area between the tires and the ground is small, and the ground contact pressure is large. When driving on soft ground, it is easy to get stuck, and the trafficability is poor. However, it has a high driving speed on hard roads, good maneuverability, and can quickly switch between different work sites, making it suitable for working in places with good road conditions.
Crawler Loaders: The crawlers have a large contact area with the ground, and the ground contact pressure is small. They can drive under harsh ground conditions such as soft and muddy ground, and have strong trafficability. However, their driving speed is relatively slow, and it takes a long time to transfer the work site. Moreover, the crawlers have a certain destructive effect on the road surface, and will generate a lot of noise and vibration when driving on flat and hard roads.


Operation Efficiency
Wheel Loaders: The operating speed of the working device is usually relatively fast, and it can quickly complete the cyclic actions of loading and unloading materials. In places where materials are frequently loaded and unloaded and high operation efficiency is required, such as ports and transfer stations in mines, it can achieve high operation efficiency.

Maintenance

Crawler Loaders: The structure of the crawlers is complex, and the maintenance is more difficult. In addition, components such as the engine and hydraulic system of crawler loaders bear a large load during operation, and the requirements for maintenance are also higher.

Wheel Loaders: They are often used in urban construction, road construction, ports and docks, and other places. The working environment in these places is relatively good, and there is a high requirement for the maneuverability and operation speed of the loaders.
Crawler Loaders: They are mainly suitable for harsh environments such as mine mining, water conservancy projects, and field construction. In these places, the loaders are required to have strong traction, good trafficability, and stability to deal with complex terrain and high-intensity operation tasks.


If the working environment is mainly hard roads and there is a high requirement for maneuverability and operation speed, wheel loaders are more useful; if it is for high-intensity excavation and loading operations under harsh ground conditions such as soft and muddy ground, crawler loaders are more suitable.
